Build
Right Door Panel and Trim
Fit the Right Arm Rest to the Right Door Panel and Trim, as shown.
There is an alignment pin on one end of the Right Arm Rest that matches a small hole in the Right Door Panel and Trim to ensure this only fits the correct way:
Secure the Arm Rest into place from the other side with two (2) Type L screws:
Inside Door Handle
This step is not even mentioned in the magazine instructions, but now is the time to install it. Retrieve the Inside Door Handle from the previous pack and fit it to this matching keyed hole of the Right Door Panel and Trim:
Secure the Inside Door Handle into place from the other side with one (1) Type P screw:
Telephone Compartment
This step is not in the magazine either. Retrieve the Telephone Compartment from the previous pack and fit it into the matching recess of the Right Door Panel and Trim, as shown:
Make sure the free end of the tiny elastic cord is tucked in behind the Telephone Compartment:
If you close the small hinged door, it will keep the telephone in place while you add the screws in the next step:
Secure the Telephone Compartment into place from the other side with two (2) Type P screws:
Thoughts
The Right Window Frame is not used in this issue, but keep it nearby for Pack 45. You may notice there is no Window for this driver’s side door. That is not an accident; the window is meant to be ‘rolled down’ permanently and therefore not included with the model. As for the instructions, I am upset that Eaglemoss just skipped over the instructions for the Inside Door Handle and Telephone Compartment. While I am sure many builders could figure out where they go, how would they know which screws to use? Luckily, I have those answers here.
