This image includes the parts for the entire issue. However, the parts included with this pack are:

• Trunk Lid Hinge Cover
• Trunk and Electronics Parts
• Rear Side Panel Right
• Rear Side Panel Left

Materials: All of these parts are plastic, but the seatbelts pre-attached to the Rear Side Panels are nylon.

Build

Assembling the Trunk

Step 1

Retrieve your Trunk assembly from Pack 60 and the Rear Shelf assembly from Pack 55:

I proceeded to follow the instructions to put this all together so it could go inside the Rear Wings Section. However, that was not meant to be. No matter how many ways I tried to fit this assembly into the wings, the plastic case of the Bulletproof Screen blocked it. I simply could not build it like this:

Instead, we are going to do things in a different order. First, I retrieved my Rear Wings Section from the previous pack and fit the Trunk assembly into place, like this:

Since we need to turn this ‘wings’ body section upside down, I temporarily secured my trunk closed with painter’s tape:

Step 2

I turned the Rear Wings Section upside down. Then, I slid the Rear Shelf assembly under the hinge bar of the Trunk until I could press these two alignment holes down over the matching locating pins, as shown. It takes a little wiggling as these parts are metal:

Next, I secured the Rear Shelf assembly to the Rear Wings Section with two (2) Type A screws. As always, I used 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 3

Fit the hinge (straight bar) section of the Trunk assembly into these notches of the Rear Shelf assembly, as shown:

Step 2

Fit the Trunk Lid Hinge Cover over the hinge bar, aligning the three holes of the cover to the matching posts of the Rear Shelf section, and secure the front edge with two (2) Type C screws:

Continue to secure the Trunk Lid Hinge Cover with one (1) Type L screw at the rear:

The trunk is now secured in place and can be opened and closed. However, turning the model upside down will cause it to open:

You can also prop the trunk open by opening it far enough to catch the crossbar in these little clips:

Step 3

Fit the Trunk and Electronic Parts to the bottom of the Rear Shelf assembly, as shown:

This part contains the main power switch for the entire car:

Secure these parts together with two (2) Type L screws from below:

I noticed that there are two additional mounting points for the Trunk and Electronic Parts (marked below), but nothing mentions securing these tabs. Not the magazines, the PDFs, nothing. I checked all of them through the end of the build:

I don’t like missing attachment points, so I secured these tabs to the body with two (2) spare Type A screws I had, one on each side:

Although my way of building this pack was a little out of order, it was much simpler to fit it all into the car.

Thoughts

The instructions for this pack were not terrible, they just made it seem like you could lower the wings section down on the trunk assembly and it would just fit. That is not true at all and is the reason why I changed up the order of the steps here. Keep the two Rear Side Panels nearby as we will need them in the next pack.
