In this pack, we install the left quarterlight window.

Parts
This image includes the parts for the entire issue. However, the parts included with this pack are:
- Left/Right Quarterlight Windows
- Left Quarterlight Window Frame
- Left/Right Quarterlight Window Catches
- Left/Right Quarterlight Window Knobs
Materials: All of these parts are plastic.
Build
Left Quarterlight Window
Press the D-shaped pin of the Left Quarterlight Window Knob into into the matching hole of the Left Quarterlight Window:
I found this much easier to do by putting the knob under the window and pressing down:
From the outside, the knob should be flush to the window:
From the opposite side, press the D-shaped pin of the Left Quarterlight Window Catch into the matching hole of the Left Quarterlight Window Knob.
The left and right Window Catches are not the same. Make sure you use the correct catch here, it should be this one:
This was actually quite tricky to install. I had to use the handle of my screwdriver to press it into place:
Fit the pegs of the Left Quarterlight Window Frame into these matching holes/notches of the Left Quarterlight Window:
Press the pins of the Left Quarterlight Window assembly into these matching holes of the Main Roof Frame, as shown:
It is worth noting that these two forward pins do NOT go all the way in. This keeps the window flush all the way around:
Thoughts
A quick and easy pack with no screws. And, we only have one window to add to finish up the roof assembly. Keep the unused Right Quarterlight Window and the extra catch/knob nearby as they will be needed in the next pack.
Next Up
Pack 54 – Right Quarterlight Window Frame, Rear Shelf Panel, Rear Seat Back
I had trouble getting the catch and the knob together. I finally had to add a small spot of modeler glue on the catch, and carefully gluing it to the knob, making sure not to get any glue on the window. Luckily I didn’t.
This was rather difficult for me compared to other steps. I also used a dab of super glue and I also noted that the inside window handles are reversed from your instructions. The handles are supposed to face aft not forward. Ultimately, I used a small hobby vise and tape over the parts to crank them down. Can’t believe nothing broke. Would recommend trying to keep the windows covered in plastic until this step is done. Too easy to scratch the window while you fight with it.
Btw, thank you a million times over for your site. The instructions by Eagle Moss are pretty terrible for this build and I really appreciate this resource. Your build looks amazing!
