“Your model DB5 is nearly finished. This [pack and the next] you will fit the front body, the roof and rear section and the engine and interior to one another, and then complete the model by fitting the chassis.”
Like the previous pack, I am going to change up these instructions a little bit to make my build easier to follow.

Parts
This image includes the parts for the entire issue. However, the parts included with this pack are:
- Chassis
- Stabilizer
- Wire Retainers
- Washers
Materials: All of the parts in this pack are plastic.
Build
The Wiring
Step 1
Retrieve the entire Body assembly from the previous pack. Carefully turn it over (I placed it on a folded towel) and run both headlight wires along the same path as the previous wiring and connect the headlights to the PCB, matching the plugs by wire color.
Because all of the wiring is going to be running over this metal crossmember of the Main Body Frame, I put a piece of black electrical tape here:
Then, I laid all the wires as flat as possible and placed another piece of electrical tape on top:
Step 2
While keeping the wiring between the pegs, press the two Wire Retainers onto these matching pegs to tidy everything up:
The Chassis
Step 1
Retrieve your Chassis assembly. Gently push the holes on either end of the Stabilizer onto these pegs at the rear of the Chassis, as shown.
Don’t push too hard on these pegs as they are not that strong. Also, make sure this hollow center of the Stabilizer is facing the front of the car:
Step 2
Retrieve your Battery Cover from the previous pack. Fit the Battery Cover to the matching location at the bottom rear of the Chassis:
Secure the Battery Cover to the Chassis using the pre-installed capture screw:
Step 3
Retrieve your Battery Box and Electronic Connection from the previous pack. Turn the Chassis upright and fit the tabs of the Battery Box to these posts at the rear of the Chassis, as shown.
This looks like it can fit either way, but you will find out it fits better in only one orientation. If you want to, you can also choose to install three AAA batteries (not supplied) into the Battery Box before you secure this down:
Secure the Battery Box down with two (2) Type L screws:
Thoughts
We are so close to finishing this build, I can taste it. The Washers were not used here, but will be needed in the next pack so keep them handy. Get ready for the grand finale coming up next!

Pack 85 – Windscreen Wipers, Rear Suspension Springs
I don’t know if anyone else had this problem with the battery box. I installed the batteries, plugged it into the circuit board, and nothing worked. I tested the batteries, and they good. I used an ohmmeter to check the box, and it was good. I reinstalled the batteries, and checked the voltage coming out of the box, and was zero. I was stumped, until I remembered having a similar problem when I was an electronic technician for a military equipment company. I wondered if the batteries were in backwards. I checked, and they weren’t. So I reversed the batteries, and the voltage was over 4.5V, which was what it was supposed to be. If this happens to anyone else, check to see if this is the problem.
Mine is dead too. Hooked up the battery box and nothing.
And reversing the batteries did nothing.
I ran the wires under the crossmember all my connections were fine and everything worked
